The Nubre’ed’s Palace
The Nubre’ed’s Palace is nearly equidistant from the northwestern cathedral of Mariam Tsion and the southeastern Ezana Garden. The building is adjacent to the traditional walkway leading to Mariam Tsion right at the foot of the Mai Qoho hills. By the way, the walkway was the cathedral’s only authorized eastern gateway. It has a large compound in which thrones of stone are found.
This century-old building is being transformed into a modern library with ongoing efforts. Recently renovated the building, courtesy of the U.S .- based Aksumite Heritage Foundation.
